Director, People Business Partners (AI)

Location: New York City, NY; Los Angeles, California; or San Jose, California. Hybrid workplace with on-site work required 3 days per week; this requirement may change based on team and business needs.

What you will do

• Lead, mentor, and develop the global People Business Partner team supporting all departments.
• Advise C-suite and VP leaders on organizational design, succession planning, workforce planning, executive coaching, and organizational health.
• Lead organizational scaling initiatives aligned with business goals, product roadmaps, and go-to-market execution.
• Oversee complex employee relations matters, risk mitigation, fair resolutions, and global compliance.
• Own performance reviews, merit cycles, career architecture, talent reviews, succession planning, and high-potential leader development.
• Partner with Finance, Accounting, Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, and People Operations on headcount, compensation, cross-border structures, and localized performance models; integrate AI, automation, and people analytics into decision-making.

Requirements

• 10+ years of HR experience, including at least 5+ years in a senior People Business Partner leadership role.
• Experience overseeing teams supporting both GTM functions such as Sales and Marketing and R&D functions such as Engineering and Product in a high-growth technology or SaaS company.
• Deep understanding of GTM business models, including quotas, churn, CAC, and sales cycles, as well as the Software Development Life Cycle, technical debt, and engineering workflows.
• Proven ability to build trust and influence at C-suite and VP levels and advise on complex organizational dynamics.
• Experience leading People strategies during rapid growth, such as doubling headcount, international expansion, post-IPO growth, or M&A.
• Experience partnering with Finance, Accounting, and Operations on day-to-day work and large-scale organizational projects.
• Expert ability to interpret talent data and integrate AI tools for workflow automation, agile decision-making, and organizational forecasting.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for explaining complex human capital strategies.
• BA or BS degree required.

• Advanced degree such as an MBA or Master’s in HR or Organizational Development.
• High-level HR certification such as SHRM-SCP or SPHR.
