Product Designer (InVivo)

TL;DR

Senior Product Designer (InVivo): Creating easy-to-use experiences for Enterprise users in the biotechnology sector with an accent on defining product strategy, scope, and prioritization. Focus on designing solutions for complex scientific workflows and collaborating with remote US-based teams.

Location: This role is on-site in Belfast three days a week. Collaborates with team members based in the United States. Requires business travel to headquarters 1-3 times a year.

Salary: £65,000–£88,000

What you will do

• Define product strategy, scope, and prioritization with Product Management and Engineering teams.
• Conduct basic research to understand customer and end-user needs.
• Design and prototype multiple ideas quickly to validate product directions.
• Own high-impact design initiatives from research through implementation.
• Effectively communicate with remote team members based in the United States.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience driving the design of SaaS software products, with a relentless focus on the user.
• A strong portfolio of relevant design work showcasing elegant, easy-to-use products.
• A track record of working with and affinity for making complex problems simple.
• Strong communication skills and ability to explain the reasoning behind design decisions.
• Experience contributing to a design system for complex software products.
• Experience working with Product Management and Engineering teams in an agile environment.

Nice to have

• Ability to develop front-end code is a plus.
• A background with lab work, scientific research, or healthcare.
