What you will do

• Lead end-to-end feature delivery, taking accountability for performance, reliability, and business outcomes.
• Stay hands-on with code, demonstrating high-quality engineering practices.
• Coach and develop team members to become independent and self-sufficient engineers.
• Drive technical excellence and raise the bar across the team, enforcing high standards for code quality, testing, observability, and documentation.
• Partner with Product, Design, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools to accelerate delivery and improve code quality.

Requirements

• 8+ years of software engineering experience with strong track record of technical delivery and informal leadership.
• Deep expertise in core technology stack (e.g., Java, React/React Native, TypeScript, Cloud).
• Battle-tested experience building and operating production systems, including on-call rotation participation.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop other engineers.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools is expected, with an AI-positive mindset.
• Strong English-language communication skills and ability to work effectively in globally distributed, cross-functional teams.
• Hybrid position: 3 days onsite, 2 days remote in Kraków, Poland.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with financial services or trading platforms.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
