Salary: $89,360 - $133,900 per annum

What you will do

• Work on the physical design and methodology for future high-performance processor chips.
• Run RTL code through synthesis and place and route (PnR) tools to create physical views.
• Analyze chip performance by running timing analysis.
• Verify power grid robustness by performing EMIR analysis.
• Perform various sign-off checks to ensure database readiness for the next design level.
• Review completed runs for errors and create optimizations from successful runs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related fields, or equivalent work experience.
• Experience in physical design with a focus on block-level PnR for advanced CMOS process nodes (e.g., 7nm, 5nm, or below).
• Working experience with industry-standard EDA tools for physical design (e.g., Cadence Genus and Innovus, Synopsys Design Compiler, IC Compiler and Fusion Compiler).
• Must work on-site at a designated team location in Santa Clara, CA or Westborough, MA, United States.
• Applicants must be eligible to access export-controlled information as defined under U.S. export control laws and regulations.

Nice to have

• Working knowledge of static timing analysis tools (Tempus or PrimeTime).
• Working knowledge of EM/IR-Drop/Crosstalk analysis tools (Voltus or PrimeRail).
• Working knowledge of physical verification and formal verification tools (Calibre, LEC, Formality).
