TL;DR

Senior Paid Search Strategist (SEM): Leading the creation, execution, and optimization of paid search campaigns for a major international brand with an accent on strategic SEM leadership, budget management, and continuous performance optimization. Focus on translating business goals into platform activation strategies, delivering actionable data-driven insights, and adapting to the evolving digital marketing landscape.

Location: Hybrid in Toronto, Canada (minimum 3 days a week in office)

What you will do

  • Lead the ongoing development, implementation, and optimization of SEM strategy for large budgets.
  • Align campaigns with larger Media team strategies to reduce costs and improve performance.
  • Own the hands-on execution and management of day-to-day performance for multiple campaigns, including budget pacing, targeting, and bid strategy.
  • Clearly communicate paid search best practices and strategies, creating POVs and case studies.
  • Craft compelling ad copy and guide CRO strategies to drive high-quality traffic and conversions.
  • Deliver actionable insights through insightful, visually compelling reports and identify market/consumer trends.
  • Run iterative testing strategies to drive incremental performance lifts and conduct regular SEM audits.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of hands-on experience managing and optimizing paid search campaigns with large spends.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and storytelling skills.
  • High proficiency in industry-standard SEM tools like Google/Microsoft Ads, Google Analytics, and Google Ads Editor.
  • Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills, with the ability to react quickly and implement solutions.
  • Experience with Google Demand Gen and Performance Max.
  • A passion for testing and learning, and a proactive approach to staying current in a rapidly evolving digital environment.
  • Must work from an office in Toronto, Canada a minimum of 3 days a week.
