What you will do

  • Identify, research, and evaluate attractive vertical market software companies based on investment criteria.
  • Conduct outbound prospecting via email, phone, and conferences to connect with software owners.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with business owners in core verticals.
  • Collaborate with the Banyan team to drive business outcomes and contribute innovative ideas.
  • Utilize Banyan’s software tools to enhance prospecting effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Track and report on activity and key performance indicators using Salesforce.com and Outreach.

Requirements

  • 5 to 7 years of M&A deal sourcing or origination experience from a private equity firm or VMS acquirer.
  • Genuine curiosity about SaaS software and M&A, coupled with a growth mindset.
  • Proven ability to thrive in a metrics-driven environment and make data-informed decisions.
  • Exceptional writing and communication skills for engaging two-way conversations.
  • Passion for the sales process and commitment to continuous improvement.
  • A degree in Finance or relevant experience in software sales and M&A is an asset.
