TL;DR

Payor BD Lead (AI, Healthcare): Building and owning hirify.global's payer vertical, defining product strategy, developing partnerships, and closing deals with an accent on payer product vision, market intelligence, and revenue targets. Focus on building and managing a pipeline of health plans, leveraging health system partners, and cultivating strategic technology partnerships.

Location: Hybrid, in-office requirement 3 days a week at our NYC SoHo office. Compensation is based on U.S. geographic locations. This role will require 30% travel.

Compensation: $195,000–$228,000 USD (offers equity and bonus)

hirify.global, founded in 2018, is an AI-powered platform focused on improving clinical documentation and enabling deeper understanding in healthcare through real-time conversion of patient-clinician conversations into structured clinical notes.

What you will do

  • Define the payer product vision and roadmap in partnership with Product and Engineering, identifying high-value use cases for payers.
  • Build, manage, and close a pipeline of national and regional health plans, and own payer revenue targets.
  • Partner with Marketing to develop payer-specific positioning and content, and collaborate with Strategic Finance for business cases.
  • Represent hirify.global externally at industry events and in executive conversations across the payer ecosystem.
  • Identify and cultivate strategic technology partnerships (e.g., Epic, Oracle) that support commercial business models.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in healthcare spanning business development, product, partnerships, or strategy roles.
  • Deep understanding of the payer landscape: health plan economics, value-based care, quality programs, utilization management, and network dynamics.
  • Proven track record of building and closing complex enterprise healthcare deals with measurable revenue impact.
  • Experience owning a quota, P&L, or business unit target, and building new business lines or verticals at growth-stage companies.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to move fluidly between strategy, execution, and closing.
  • Hybrid, in-office requirement at our NYC SoHo office (3 days a week).
  • Ability to travel up to 30%.

Nice to have

  • Experience with clinical documentation workflows, ambient AI, or scribe technology.
  • Familiarity with payer-provider data exchange platforms (e.g., Epic Payer Platform).
  • Understanding of foundational AI models and their application in healthcare.
