TL;DR

Specialist, Regional People Partner (Fintech): Driving operational excellence across the employee lifecycle, managing HR operations, performance, compliance, and immigration workflows for a global fintech company. Focus on ensuring local labor law compliance, supporting managers in performance management, and coordinating visa/work authorizations across the US, Canada, and LATAM regions.

Location: Hybrid in New York City, USA (3 days per week in office)

What you will do

  • Run end-to-end onboarding and offboarding processes in HRIS (e.g., Workday/Paychex).
  • Draft, issue, and maintain employee documentation (contracts, addendums, employment verifications, termination letters).
  • Support managers in developing and delivering performance improvement plans (PIPs).
  • Ensure compliance with local labor laws and internal policies across the region.
  • Coordinate visa/work authorization cases and relocation support with external counsel and vendors.
  • Act as a trusted first point of contact for employees and managers on HR policies, workplace concerns, and employee relations matters.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of hands-on experience in HR Operations and/or Immigration.
  • Bachelor’s in HR, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Strong command of HR process, documentation, and compliance fundamentals.
  • Experience coordinating immigration matters (U.S./Canada/LATAM preferred) with outside counsel.
  • Proficiency with HRIS (Workday, SAP, or similar) and report building (Excel/Sheets).
  • Exceptional organization and detail orientation; proven ability to manage deadlines and maintain high discretion with confidential data.
