Engineering Manager (MLOps & Edge Infrastructure)

What you will do

• Lead a new team focusing on MLOps infrastructure for AI research and smart cameras.
• Architect and own the pipeline for deploying ML models to tens of thousands of edge devices.
• Design and implement "shadow mode" infrastructure for testing candidate models on production devices silently.
• Build tooling to monitor model drift, performance, and health signals from the edge.
• Hire, manage, and mentor a team of Senior to Mid-level Engineers, fostering technical excellence.

Requirements

• Proven expertise in MLOps, building and managing pipelines for production ML models, especially for Edge AI / IoT.
• Strong proficiency in Python for scripting, automation, and infrastructure-as-code.
• Experience in strategic engineering leadership, managing engineers, and technical design reviews.
• Ability to define robust system architecture for resilient update mechanisms, including delta updates and event-based systems.
• Must be able to work from the UK.

Nice to have

• Experience with Edge model deployment infrastructure.
• Familiarity with the NVIDIA Jetson / DeepStream ecosystem.
• Knowledge of video streaming technology, GStreamer, or video encoding.
• Experience with Docker and container orchestration on embedded devices.
