Senior Engineer - Athlete Performance

Location: Hybrid in commuting distance of London, United Kingdom, with more days in-office than remote; remote candidates in the United Kingdom are also considered.

What you will do

• Build hardware-agnostic ingestion layers and time-series architectures combining live video with biomechanical data streams.
• Solve real-time data synchronization and machine learning inference challenges for athlete performance, injury prevention, and matchday tactics.
• Develop and deliver full-stack web features with Engineering, Quality Assurance, Product, Design, and Scrum colleagues.
• Own product-area outcomes and user experience for coaches and athletes while responding to customer needs.
• Propose solutions to ambiguous technical problems, iterate rapidly, and provide guidance to less experienced engineers.
• Mentor engineers on development practices, technical trade-offs, planning, design, and delivery of complex projects.

Requirements

• Experience leading or playing a key role in developing large-scale applications.
• Strong collaboration and problem-solving skills, with a willingness to help other engineers learn and develop.
• User-focused approach and interest in building products used to solve real-world problems.
• Solid engineering fundamentals and willingness to develop expertise in specific technical areas.
• Ability to work hybrid in the London commuting area or remotely from the United Kingdom.

Nice to have

• Experience with C#, Node, React, TypeScript, MongoDB, SQL, Elasticsearch, or AWS.
