What you will do

• Manage SQL Server databases, focusing on performance and issue resolution.
• Maintain AWS services like RDS, S3, and IAM for database operations.
• Monitor and optimize database performance, queries, and indexes.
• Ensure database security through user, role, and privilege management.
• Handle environment cloning, refreshes, and automate routine tasks in cloud environments.
• Troubleshoot database and application connectivity issues, including archiving huge tables into S3.

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in SQL query performance tuning.
• Experience with DB Profiler, Query Store, and Extended Events for session and job creation.
• Deep knowledge of indexes, table statistics, and ability to analyze execution plans.
• Experience with AWS RDS configuration, backups, and monitoring.
• Familiarity with cloud automation and cost optimization strategies.
