Senior-Staff Software Engineer, Tooling

TL;DR

Location: This role requires you to be onsite at our HQ in San Mateo, CA

Salary: $130,000 - $280,000 USD

What you will do

• Improve handling of licenses.
• Separate the monolith support tool into smaller, more manageable tools.
• Improve the feature flags system.
• Build tools that use AI to improve security and privacy.
• Contribute to open-source systems used by hirify.global.

Requirements

• Must have a BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, or similar technical field of study.
• Experience and enthusiasm for learning about new infrastructure products, features, and strategies.
• Comfortable with working at the frontier of infrastructure and software development.
• Experience in Python and/or Go.
• Experience with one of the major cloud platforms (preferably AWS).
• Strong written and verbal communications.

Nice to have

• Experience with Terraform.
• Experience with Kubernetes.
• Experience with a service mesh such as Istio.
