Location: Remote (US only), specifically from states where hirify.global has an entity: California, Colorado, District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Texas, Virginia, and Washington. Or onsite in Brooklyn.

Salary: $185,000 - $220,000

What you will do

• Drive product decisions and business impact through impactful data analysis and investigations.
• Contribute to software systems used by millions of low-income Americans.
• Maintain reliable data pipelines to ensure trustworthy data.
• Collaborate with product teams, including marketplace, government benefits, marketing, and growth.
• Effectively communicate data insights with team members and various audiences.

Requirements

• 5+ years of startup experience.
• Fluency in SQL and either Python or R.
• Experience leading research efforts on product and system opportunities.
• Exceptional skills at converting questions into data analysis and insights.
• Quantitative mindset, strong at working with probability distributions, causal inference, and cost-benefit analysis.
• Strong communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences.

Nice to have

• Experience writing production machine learning systems.
• Experience with or knowledge of government services, particularly safety net services like SNAP, WIC, TANF, SSI, SSDI, Medicaid, Section 8.
