Business Development Manager (Fintech): Driving customer growth and success by transforming potential prospects into loyal advocates of the hirify.global platform, a B2B diamond and gemstone marketplace, with an accent on building deep, value-driven relationships and delivering unmatched ROI. Focus on identifying strategic growth opportunities, aligning hirify.global’s offerings with evolving client needs, and leveraging data-driven insights to optimize performance and contribute to continuous platform improvement.

Location: Hybrid in South Africa - 2 days a week in office for Cape Town based employees. Working hours: US Hours - 4pm - 12pm SAST

Salary: R480k - R575k per annum + commission

What you will do

  • Inspire and onboard new customers by understanding their needs and positioning hirify.global as their go-to marketplace.
  • Champion customer success by serving as a trusted advisor and building deep, value-driven relationships with clients.
  • Drive strategic growth by identifying and executing opportunities to expand client engagement through up-selling and cross-selling initiatives.
  • Work with SDRs, TAMs, and CS teams to ensure seamless customer journeys and maximize customer satisfaction.
  • Leverage key metrics such as GMV, Active Buyers, and LTV to refine strategies and optimize performance.
  • Collaborate with product teams, providing customer feedback that drives innovation and positions hirify.global as a leader in the marketplace.

Requirements

  • Fluent in English
  • A passion for high-growth environments and a drive to make things happen.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in a B2B customer-facing role, with a track record of exceeding sales targets and driving customer success.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM software (preferably Hubspot) and an analytical approach to decision-making.

Nice to have

  • Experience in the B2B marketplace, tech industry, or luxury goods market.
  • Strong data analytics skills, with a history of using insights to drive business decisions.
  • Advanced knowledge of sales methodologies and customer lifecycle management.
  • Experience in driving strategic initiatives in a rapidly scaling environment.
