Location: Must be able to work from San Francisco or New York offices at least 3 days a week.

Salary: $205,000 – $265,000 USD

What you will do

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements, focusing on GTM/Sales transactions and enterprise customer contracts.
• Partner with Sales and Go-to-Market teams to support deal velocity and provide practical legal guidance.
• Build and maintain commercial legal infrastructure, including contract templates, playbooks, and process improvements.
• Collaborate with Policy, Safeguards, and Research teams on novel AI governance initiatives.
• Identify and escalate legal risks appropriately while supporting business momentum.
• Stay current on legal developments affecting AI technologies.

Requirements

• JD and active membership in at least one U.S. state bar (California preferred).
• At least 3 years of legal experience with exposure to commercial contracts, SaaS agreements, or technology transactions.
• Clear communication skills and comfort translating legal concepts for non-lawyer audiences.
• Curiosity about AI technology, AI Policy, and commitment to responsible AI development.
• Comfort in fast-paced environments with shifting priorities.
• Ability to work from San Francisco or New York offices at least 3 days a week.
