What you will do
- Sell software products and technology services in a designated U.S. territory.
- Develop new business primarily through prospecting and cold outreach.
- Build relationships with Democratic officials, consultants, and campaign professionals.
- Conduct online demos, prepare written proposals, and negotiate and close sales.
- Establish and grow relationships with current NGP VAN clients to upsell additional tools and services.
- Collaborate with NGP VAN staff to exceed client expectations.
Requirements
- Demonstrated and passionate interest in Democratic political campaigns and progressive politics.
- Significant digital experience (either in digital sales or as a digital practitioner).
- 2-3 cycles of Political Campaign experience (e.g., former campaign manager, digital director, finance, or field staff).
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Comfort with daily sales outreach via phone, online demonstrations, and email.
- Previous experience building and maintaining relationships with political stakeholders.
- Must have current employment authorization in the United States; sponsorship for employment authorization is not provided.
Nice to have
- Previous experience with NGP VAN’s product suite or similar campaign CRMs.
- Previous sales or SaaS experience.
