What you will do

• Provide technical leadership in search technologies and guide cross-functional projects.
• Implement advanced search algorithms leveraging vector search, NLP, and personalization.
• Collaborate with ML and data science teams to optimize relevancy models.
• Develop APIs and real-time search query logic for feature embeddings.
• Implement A/B testing frameworks for continuous search improvements.
• Enhance and optimize search infrastructure for scalability, robustness, and performance.

Requirements

• 5+ years of post-college experience in Software Engineering or API development.
• Experience with search engines like OpenSearch, Elasticsearch, Solr, or Lucene.
• Proficiency in advanced search techniques (vector search, NLP, personalization).
• Strong understanding of concurrency patterns, data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.
• Significant experience developing and maintaining production-scale, customer-facing web services.
• Expertise in programming languages like Java and Python for search and data engineering.
• Experience designing large-scale distributed systems and working with cloud technologies (AWS).

Nice to have

• Experience with Terraform and DevOps pipelines.
• Experience with Agentic Workflows or AI-driven automation.
