What you will do

  • Recruit, mentor, and support a high-performing team of Forward Deployed Engineers (FDEs).
  • Own the execution and technical quality of production systems, meeting industry standards.
  • Partner with Product, Sales, and Leadership to align fieldwork with the product roadmap.
  • Translate field experience into tools and feedback for product and research teams.
  • Lead teams through technical challenges of "going live" with large organizations, including integrations.
  • Make data-driven decisions to improve reliability and scale delivery.

Requirements

  • B.S. or B.A. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Math, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in a Software Engineering Leadership position, ideally managing customer-facing engineers.
  • Demonstrated success in customer-facing roles and comfort working with executive teams.
  • Proven track record of leading teams to ship high-quality features and managing ambitious technical projects.
  • Excellent technical decision-making skills, understanding architecture and durable product patterns.
  • Ability to manage in multiple directions, advocate for the team, and delegate effectively.
