What you will do

• Lead engineering strategy across backend, frontend, data, and DevOps/infrastructure teams.
• Drive architectural decisions for scalable, high-performance systems handling millions of players.
• Oversee platform development for Scala backend, Unity game clients, Kubernetes, and big data pipelines.
• Build and mentor engineering leaders, fostering technical excellence and continuous learning.
• Establish engineering best practices, standards, and workflows.
• Collaborate with product and design to translate game vision into robust technical solutions.

Requirements

• 8+ years of software engineering experience.
• 3+ years in technical leadership roles (tech lead, engineering manager, or engineering director).
• Proven experience leading and scaling engineering organizations of 20+ engineers across multiple teams.
• Deep expertise in backend services architecture (Scala, REST APIs, microservices), game backend systems, cloud infrastructure (Kubernetes, containerization), and data systems.
• Architectural vision for complex, large-scale, globally distributed systems.
• Strong communication skills and ability to articulate technical vision to non-technical stakeholders.
