What you will do

• Provide direct support for pre- and post-sale connectivity engineering.
• Attain mastery-level knowledge of voice and data services and their interconnection requirements.
• Develop imaginative, thorough, and practical solutions for complex applications.
• Document proposals and prepare detailed project plans and order summaries.
• Approve designs for sale upon customer acceptance and act as an escalation point for vendor issues.
• Mentor Cloud Connectivity Engineers and organize resources for projects.
• Establish and maintain strong working relationships with various departments.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology or related field, or equivalent work experience required.
• 6+ years Telecommunications Circuit Design Engineering or Analysis.
• 4+ years in a Sales or Solutions Engineering role.
• Demonstrated working knowledge of telecom principles and concepts.
• Proven ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with industry personnel, vendors, sales, service delivery, and engineering.
• Advanced knowledge in architecture design and configuration of networking and equipment, including OSI model, Ethernet, IP architectures, and VoIP Network protocols (SIP, MGCP, SBC).

• Prior experience with provisioning Dedicated TDM and IP services.
• Prior experience in building switching and routing translations.
• Prior experience with installation and implementation of telephony related equipment (PBXs, Routers, Firewalls, Switches).
