Senior Software Engineer (Data Visualization)

Location: Annapolis Junction, Maryland, on-site; applicants must reside in the United States at the time of application

Salary: USD $114,110–$228,221 per year

What you will do

• Build, configure, deploy, and support a data visualization toolkit.
• Develop backend APIs, services, and data processing pipelines with Python or Java.
• Create multi-dimensional, time-series, cascading, and drill-down visualizations for analytics and monitoring platforms.
• Build and consume REST APIs to integrate frontend and backend systems.
• Work with MySQL, PostgreSQL, or similar relational databases for structured data, complex queries, and analytics workloads.
• Deploy, debug, and operate services in Linux production environments.

Requirements

• Technical bachelor's degree and 14+ years of software engineering experience.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with Poly is required.
• Proficiency in Python or Java for backend development.
• Experience building multi-dimensional visualizations, including time-series, cascading, and drill-down interfaces.
• Full-stack development experience with REST APIs and hands-on relational database experience.
• Strong background developing in Linux environments.
