What you will do
- Provide ongoing oversight and analysis of credit risk performance and monitoring metrics for lending products.
- Partner with first line teams to support credit strategy changes, new product launches, and pilots.
- Deliver independent challenge and insights to optimise credit decisioning throughout the customer lifecycle.
- Lead second line assurance work and thematic reviews related to credit risk.
- Collaborate with model validation and development teams to understand credit risk models.
- Support maintenance and embedding of the Credit Risk Framework across the business.
Requirements
- Must have strong background in retail credit risk management within consumer or small business lending, especially unsecured and revolving products.
- Proven analytical skills with experience in data interrogation, monitoring, and early trend detection.
- Hands-on experience or understanding of scorecards and NPV models for credit decision strategies.
- Technical skills including SQL and preferably data visualization tools like Looker, PowerBI, or Tableau.
- Ability to communicate complex issues clearly to non-experts in written and verbal form.
- Self-starter mindset with impact-driven approach and ability to provide effective challenge while building strong relationships.
