Devops Engineer

Location: Hybrid in New York City, New York, or Raleigh, United States

Base salary: $100,000–$160,000 annually, depending on location, experience, skills, and business needs. Bonus and benefits may also apply.

What you will do

• Manage and improve deployment pipelines to support smooth and efficient software releases.
• Implement observability solutions for monitoring system performance, reliability, and operational health.
• Support local development environments and collaborate with development teams on infrastructure requirements.
• Develop automation scripts and tools to improve operational efficiency.
• Strengthen infrastructure and application security through proactive measures and audits.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure and application issues and evaluate technologies that improve scalability, reliability, and security.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 4+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer, Site Reliability Engineer, or in a similar role.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, GitLab, and AWS.
• Strong knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, monitoring and observability tools such as Datadog, Prometheus, or Grafana, and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Experience managing MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB databases, along with infrastructure and application security practices.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, collaboration, learning, and continuous-improvement skills.
