Senior Platform DevOps Engineer (AI)

Location: Fort Meade, Maryland, United States — onsite

Salary: $155,000–$175,000 per year

What you will do

• Provide embedded operations support, capability integration, and rapid prototyping for AI-enabled tools.
• Design, implement, and maintain infrastructure for enterprise AI applications across AWS, Microsoft Azure, on-premises, air-gapped, and classified environments.
• Architect and manage CI/CD pipelines for AI models, agents, and applications.
• Implement Docker and Kubernetes solutions and maintain control-plane guardrails for identity, policy enforcement, approvals, audit logging, and observability.
• Manage AI model and agent versioning, monitoring, scaling, and lifecycle maintenance.
• Collaborate with AI/ML engineers and data scientists while improving performance, security, scalability, and RMF/ATO accreditation readiness.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field with 10+ years of experience, or a master’s degree with 8+ years of experience.
• Advanced proficiency in DevOps principles and practices.
• Expertise with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience architecting and managing CI/CD pipelines.
• Extensive experience with AI model lifecycle management and maintenance.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required before starting.

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS and Microsoft Azure infrastructure deployment and management.
• Familiarity with Prometheus, Grafana, or the ELK stack.
• Experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
• Understanding of machine learning concepts and their infrastructure implications.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
