DevOps Engineer (Federal IT)

Location: McLean/Tysons, Virginia, United States; on-site 4–5 days per week

Base salary: $96,000–$150,000 per year, plus potential government clearance differential and discretionary bonus.

What you will do

• Install, operate, and scale the hirify.global platform across federal customer environments.
• Administer Linux and Windows systems across AWS, Google Compute Engine, and Microsoft Azure.
• Automate patching, configuration management, and deployment workflows using scripting and programming.
• Administer and optimize PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, and SQL Server databases.
• Work directly with federal clients to troubleshoot infrastructure issues and maintain environment stability.
• Support secure cloud and on-premise government installations while learning client business processes.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain and maintain a federal security clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline.
• 2–4 years of professional IT systems administration experience, including host, database, network, scripting, and patching responsibilities.
• Active CompTIA Security+ certification is required, or the certification must be completed after onboarding.
• Experience with Linux, Windows, cloud infrastructure, databases, and scripting or programming.

Nice to have

• Experience administering on-premise hirify.global or a similar enterprise workflow platform.
• Exposure to Kubernetes or Docker.
• Experience with Salesforce or ServiceNow.
