What you will do

• Lead and direct a mid-sized team of Software Development Engineers for hirify.global Simple Email Service (SES).
• Translate strategic business needs into features and projects, delivering them efficiently.
• Design, build, and operate large-scale web, fault-tolerant, and distributed systems.
• Model responsible use of AI in planning and operations, embedding intelligent tooling into engineering practices.
• Coach teams to apply AI-first problem-solving mindsets while maintaining high judgment and ownership.
• Cultivate a culture of creativity, openness, and foster an environment of knowledge sharing and professional growth.

Requirements

• 7+ years of engineering experience.
• 3+ years of engineering team management experience, including coaching and career development.
• Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software development life cycle.
• Experience leveraging modern developer tools, automation, or emerging AI-assisted technologies.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, reporting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Must be based in Dublin, Ireland.

Nice to have

• Experience with large-scale web and distributed systems.
• Experience in designing and building fault-tolerant distributed systems.
