Director, Product & Technology Operations

Location: Hybrid, with a minimum of 3 days per week onsite in San Ramon, California; Reno, Nevada; or New York, New York. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.

Salary: $194,000–$267,000 typical starting annual salary range.

What you will do

• Build and lead the Product & Technology Operational Excellence function across Product Operations, Engineering and QA Operations, and Project Management.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, Quality, GTM, and business leaders to translate priorities into operating plans, tradeoff decisions, and measurable outcomes.
• Develop operating models, governance structures, standards, decision rights, handoffs, and operating forums that improve execution discipline.
• Create dashboards, scorecards, and operating reviews covering priorities, progress, risks, dependencies, and intervention opportunities.
• Oversee key technology initiatives through milestone discipline, dependency management, risk escalation, ownership, and cross-functional alignment.
• Develop leaders and teams while applying AI and automation to improve efficiency, knowledge sharing, decision support, and execution quality.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in operations, program leadership, product operations, engineering operations, business operations, or a comparable cross-functional leadership role.
• 8+ years of people leadership experience building, developing, and retaining high-performing teams.
• Experience building operating models, governance structures, standards, management systems, metrics, dashboards, and review mechanisms in complex product and technology organizations.
• Strong experience improving execution across Product, Engineering, QA, GTM, and partner teams, including executive-level influence and alignment.
• Familiarity with Jira and Productboard, plus strong written and verbal communication, problem-solving, judgment, and follow-through.
• Fluency with AI tools including ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Glean, with an understanding of their use in operational efficiency and productivity.
