Vice President, Engineering And AI Innovations

Location: United States. Fully remote for candidates residing outside a 30-mile radius of a hirify.global office; candidates within that radius must work hybrid, three days per week in the office.

US base salary range: $233,000–$512,000 USD annually, plus potential performance bonus, stock, and other incentive compensation.

What you will do

• Lead engineering for AI Insights, Agent Assist, and GenAI Studio products.
• Direct product evolution by expanding features, improving AI capabilities, and increasing enterprise scale.
• Own the full product lifecycle from development through operations.
• Lead, mentor, and grow backend, ML, frontend, DevOps, and SRE engineering organizations.
• Define long-range engineering strategy, architecture modernization initiatives, and multi-quarter delivery programs.
• Manage capacity planning, staffing, infrastructure costs, vendor contracts, and organizational change.

Requirements

• 10+ years of engineering management experience.
• Experience leading engineering delivery for customer experience AI products, including agent assistance, AI agents, or conversational analytics.
• Deep expertise in LLMs, RAG, embeddings, vector databases, multimodal models, prompt orchestration, function calling, structured outputs, and multi-agent workflows.
• Expert-level Java and JVM ecosystem skills, with strong knowledge of microservices, event-driven architectures, concurrency, fault tolerance, APIs, and enterprise SaaS.
• Experience operating highly scalable 24/7 production systems in public cloud environments, with SRE, security, privacy, compliance, and observability expertise.
• Proven ability to lead high-performing teams, communicate technical strategy, and collaborate with Product, Design, Sales Engineering, Customer Success, and executive leadership.

Nice to have

• Experience with Google Cloud Platform.
• Applied ML experience in NLP, ASR/TTS, NLU, and agent-assist use cases.
• Experience with SOC 2, GDPR, HIPAA, or FedRAMP in contact center environments.
