Software Engineer - Sr Consultant level-2 (AI)

Location: Foster City, California, United States. Hybrid position requiring at least three days per week in the office; occasional travel of 5–10% is required.

Salary: $169,100–$270,800 USD per year, with potential bonus and equity eligibility.

What you will do

• Design and architect AI-powered solutions for engineering productivity and customer-facing products.
• Lead technical initiatives using agentic AI, LLMs, machine learning, and generative AI.
• Build scalable platforms and services integrating AI into commercial payment and money movement systems.
• Collaborate with product owners and cross-functional teams to refine requirements and create technical design artifacts.
• Develop and deliver robust software features end to end for B2B, B2C, P2P, and G2C payment flows.
• Evaluate emerging AI technologies and contribute to adoption standards, technical documentation, and engineering practices.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience with an advanced degree or PhD.
• Experience with AI agent frameworks, LLMs, generative AI applications, or machine learning.
• Experience applying AI to engineering challenges or customer-facing product features.
• Expertise in one or more general-purpose development languages such as Java, C#, or C++.
• Experience designing scalable systems using cloud platforms, APIs, microservices, and distributed architectures.
• Ability to work in a hybrid arrangement from the Foster City office at least three days per week.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of commercial payments, money movement, B2B payables, or payment processing.
• Experience leading cross-team technical initiatives.
• Experience with Angular, React, Kubernetes, or Docker.
