VP of Artificial Intelligence

Location: United States (Remote)

Salary: $275,000–$350,000 per year

What you will do

• Define and lead the enterprise AI strategy, vision, organization, goals, and measurement framework.
• Drive AI-powered innovation, transformation, new business models, and measurable business value.
• Build internal and external AI ecosystems with business leaders, vendors, partners, research institutions, regulators, and industry associations.
• Chair the AI governance board and develop responsible AI policies covering data use, explainability, fairness, privacy, audit controls, and ethics.
• Lead AI literacy, change management, operating model design, and the scalable delivery of AI initiatives.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders across security, risk, compliance, legal, ethics, safety, and business functions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; a master’s degree in artificial intelligence or data science is preferred.
• 10+ years of business experience, ideally in information or technology management and recently at or near executive level.
• 5+ years of progressive leadership experience managing cross-functional, multidisciplinary teams and enterprise-wide initiatives.
• 5+ years of AI experience in information-intensive industries or digitally advanced enterprises.
• 5+ years leading AI engineering, software engineering, or advanced data science initiatives and delivering intelligent solutions.
• Experience with software engineering, enterprise transformation, modern databases, data ecosystems, and AWS or Azure architecture.

Nice to have

• 10+ years of software engineering experience.
• Experience in strategy or management consulting, multiple industries, and vertical industry domains.
• Independent P&L responsibility and experience developing new channels or business models.
• Knowledge of the EU AI Act, GDPR, CCPA, and industry-specific standards.
