Microsoft RDS and Windows Engineer

Location: Kearneysville, West Virginia, United States; hybrid position

Salary: $110,000–$127,000 annually

What you will do

• Design, architect, implement, and maintain highly available and scalable Microsoft RDS infrastructure.
• Lead the migration and upgrade of RDS environments from Windows Server 2012 to Windows Server 2019.
• Manage RD Connection Broker, RD Gateway, RD Web Access, and RD Session Host components.
• Administer Windows Server infrastructure, including Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP.
• Develop PowerShell automation scripts and implement patching, hardening, certificate management, and security controls.
• Provide Level 3 support, troubleshoot complex RDS issues, document configurations, and collaborate with other IT teams.

Requirements

• Active Secret clearance required.
• High school education with 6–9 years of experience or equivalent experience.
• Network+ certification or an equivalent certification at a higher level.
• 3–5 years of direct Microsoft RDS experience, including hands-on upgrades from Windows Server 2012 to Windows Server 2019.
• Strong Windows Server administration skills across Windows Server 2012, 2016, and 2019, including Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and other core services.
• Experience with VMware vSphere or Microsoft Hyper-V, PowerShell scripting, and App-V application sequencing and publishing.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting United States government or military programs.
• Microsoft, Security+, Azure, or Azure Virtual Desktop certifications and experience.
• Experience with government leadership or senior military officials, systems engineering, software development, load balancing, monitoring, and performance tuning.
