What you will do

• Design, architect, implement, and maintain highly available and scalable Microsoft RDS infrastructure.
• Lead and execute the migration and upgrade of existing RDS environments from Windows Server 2012 to 2019.
• Manage all RDS components and configure high availability for seamless user connectivity.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to the RDS environment, performance, and application delivery.
• Administer and support the underlying Windows Server infrastructure, including Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP.
• Develop and maintain PowerShell automation scripts and implement security best practices.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations and procedures.
• Provide Level 3 technical support and serve as a subject matter expert for RDS.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field with 5-8 years (or commensurate) experience.
• 3-5 years of direct experience with Microsoft Remote Desktop Services.
• Proven, hands-on experience upgrading RDS environments from Windows Server 2012 to Windows Server 2019.
• Strong experience in Windows Server administration (2012, 2016, 2019) and managing Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and other core Windows services.
• Experience with virtualization technologies, such as VMware vSphere or Microsoft Hyper-V.
• Strong scripting skills, particularly with PowerShell, for automation and management.
• Experience sequencing, publishing, and maintaining App-V applications.
• Ability to obtain and hold a Secret level clearance.
• Willingness to work in a hybrid capacity (1-3 days onsite a week).
• Currently possess a Network+ (or equivalent) certification.

Nice to have

• Past experience working with the United States Coast Guard and/or past DOD experience.
• Relevant Microsoft certifications (e.g., MCSE, MCSA, or Azure-related certifications).
• Possess a Security+ Certification (or equivalent).
• Experience with cloud platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure, and Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD).
