Senior Systems Engineer (Top Secret) (Windows Server/Active Directory, VMware, PowerShell): Managing and automating enterprise infrastructure across production and classified federal enclaves with an accent on virtualization, identity services, PKI, and infrastructure security. Focus on designing resilient systems, troubleshooting complex networking and application-integration issues, and supporting AWS/Azure migration while meeting STIG, RMF, and NIST requirements.

What you will do
- Own Windows Server and Active Directory services across production enclaves, including GPO, DNS/DHCP, OU design, patching, and monitoring.
- Design and manage enterprise virtualization platforms, primarily VMware ESXi, and support VDI deployments.
- Automate infrastructure deployment, configuration, and maintenance using PowerShell, Python, and Infrastructure as Code principles.
- Architect and operate PKI solutions, including certificate and TLS lifecycle management.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure issues across networking, identity, load balancing, and application integration.
- Document runbooks and change procedures, participate in change windows and on-call rotation, and contribute to AWS/Azure migration and security compliance efforts.
Requirements
- Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility; active or cross-over eligible.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 10+ years of server administration experience and advanced PowerShell skills.
- Extensive experience with ESXi, Hyper-V, or KVM, including Horizon Remote Assistance, plus VDI experience.
- Production experience with Active Directory and SolarWinds enterprise monitoring.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, load balancers, Kerberos, LDAP, PKI, AWS/Azure, and federal security frameworks including STIG, RMF, and NIST.
Nice to have
- Experience with Microsoft Exchange and Microsoft 365 hybrid technologies, including Modern Auth, EOP, and Defender.
- Experience with SCOM, Splunk, health sets, or other enterprise monitoring solutions.
