TL;DR

Senior Kotlin/JVM Engineer (Fintech): Building and integrating new APIs and tuning existing services as they scale, supporting the expansion of new products and services in the US. Focus on delivering elegant solutions to complex engineering challenges and contributing new knowledge to collaborative design forums.

Location: On the other days we all come together IRL to be together, build and exchange ideas. The office is in London.

What you will do

• Build and integrate new APIs.
• Tune existing services as they scale.
• Support the expansion of new products and supporting services in the US.
• Contribute to design discussions and help shape the approach to delivering elegant solutions to complex engineering challenges.
• Continuously improve capabilities as a team and make the working environment a happy and productive place.

Requirements

• Strong commercial Kotlin or JVM based engineering experience (willingness to work with Kotlin).
• Ability to write simple, clean code.
• Experience and understanding of relational databases; NoSql would be nice too.
• Ability to quickly understand complex, financial business domains.
• Understanding of different software architectures rapidly.
• Ability to write comprehensive, automated tests at all levels of the pyramid.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with GraphQL.
• Understanding of the Kanban agile methodology.
