Engineering Manager - Frontend Background

Location: Paris, France; hybrid workplace

Salary: €90,000–€140,000 per year

What you will do

• Design and implement high-performance, scalable, and responsive user interfaces.
• Optimize frontend performance and deliver smooth user experiences.
• Build solutions for real-time concurrent editing, network disruptions, single-source-of-truth data management, and efficient caching.
• Translate functional requirements into simple designs and high-quality code while addressing product and customer needs.
• Coach up to six software engineering direct reports and provide regular guidance.
• Define expectations, deliver feedback, create career development plans, and participate in performance and salary decisions.

Requirements

• Senior-level software engineering experience on a product in production, typically 7–8 years.
• At least 2–3 years of people management experience.
• Proven frontend experience with TypeScript, JavaScript, CSS, React, Vue, Angular, or similar technologies.
• Strong problem-solving skills, team spirit, humility, and a focus on user experience.
• Fluent English required; French is not required.
