Location: Hybrid role based in Foster City, CA with in-office requirement Monday, Wednesday, and Friday

Salary: $265,000 - $340,000

What you will do

  • Lead architecture and implementation of monetization systems.
  • Create seamless payment experiences for product-led and sales-led motions.
  • Build abstractions and APIs for monetizing new products.
  • Iterate on pricing and packaging tactics to drive revenue growth.
  • Create monitoring and feedback systems to proactively spot and fix issues.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of backend engineering experience.
  • Experience with subscription platforms, usage-based billing, SaaS taxation, payment platforms, or tokenization.
  • Ability to work autonomously in ambiguous environments.
  • Strong problem-solving skills for complex billing issues.
  • Experience implementing customer-facing billing interfaces.
  • Must be based in or able to work from Foster City, CA office on M/W/F.

Nice to have

  • Experience with Orb, Metronome, or Stripe usage-based billing.
  • Experience with coupons, referral programs, or monetization growth tactics.
