Senior Software Engineer (Fintech Platform)

Location: Seattle, USA; hybrid working model

Salary: $140,000–$190,000 annually

What you will do

• Design, build, and optimize foundational microservices and infrastructure powering financial products.
• Improve platform resilience through retries, circuit breakers, fallbacks, automated recovery, monitoring, and observability.
• Identify bottlenecks and improve system scalability, efficiency, performance, and availability.
• Develop customer-facing and business-critical functionality while maintaining system stability and limiting technical debt.
• Collaborate with product, operations, compliance, and other business units on financial solutions.
• Mentor junior developers and promote engineering best practices.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience building, shipping, and iterating on software applications, preferably in fintech.
• Strong foundation in algorithms and data structures and experience designing web services and REST APIs.
• Knowledge of Hexagonal Architecture, Event-Driven Architecture, A/B testing, feature flags, and gradual rollouts.
• Experience with payment systems, financial disbursement solutions, or compliance-driven platforms is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of security protocols, compliance standards, and KYC/AML processes; must be legally authorized to work in the US without current or future visa sponsorship.
