Senior Software Engineer (PropTech)

Location: Mendoza, Argentina. Employees outside the Nashville area must travel to the Nashville office at least twice per year for company gatherings, with additional travel possible based on role and business needs.

What you will do

• Deliver complex end-to-end software solutions across multiple components and engineering teams.
• Design and develop scalable backend services, APIs, and customer-facing applications for construction lending.
• Evaluate technical solutions, advise on priorities and trade-offs, and align delivery with team objectives.
• Lead large-scale refactors, system upgrades, architectural improvements, and risk management.
• Document system structures and processes for cross-team understanding.
• Provide technical leadership, mentor engineers, and drive cross-functional collaboration.

Requirements

• Proven backend engineering experience with scalable APIs, service design, and database modeling.
• Expertise in relational and non-relational database design and performance optimization.
• Knowledge of object-oriented design, algorithms, data structures, and complexity analysis.
• Production experience designing and deploying systems with AWS.
• Experience delivering engineering and business outcomes, with strong ownership and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work from Mendoza, Argentina and attend required company gatherings in Nashville at least twice per year.

Nice to have

• Experience with React and TypeScript, full-stack development, and customer-facing backend APIs.
• Experience with automated testing, legacy-code refactoring, or quality improvements.
• Player-coach experience mentoring engineers in small cross-functional teams.
• Experience working in a startup, growth-stage, or rapidly growing company.
