Software Engineer III (Fullstack)

TL;DR

Software Engineer III (Fullstack): Develop and enhance a public health data and analytics platform integrating diverse data streams with an accent on scalable backend services and interactive frontend interfaces. Location: Hybrid in San Bruno, California, United States. Must not require employer-sponsored work authorization in the US.

Salary: $125,000 - $178,000 per year (base salary only).

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable software solutions for the hirify.global Sightline platform.
• Implement and optimize backend services using Python and Google Cloud Platform technologies.
• Develop interactive frontend interfaces using React and related technologies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers and data scientists to deliver high-quality features.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle including planning, coding, testing, deployment, and monitoring.
• Engage in code reviews and architectural discussions to drive best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of software development experience with proficiency in Python and React.
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform services such as Cloud Functions, BigQuery, Pub/Sub, and App Engine.
• Strong understanding of relational/NoSQL databases and API design (REST/gRPC).
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.

Nice to have

• Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Experience with data visualization tools (D3.js, Tableau, Looker) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of data modeling for diverse datasets including EHR, claims, and environmental data.
• Interest or experience in public health, healthcare, or life sciences.
• Experience with geospatial information systems (GIS).
