Solutions Engineer, Acquisition (Observability): Educating potential and existing customers on the Grafana value proposition and managing technical engagements to close opportunities with an accent on technical skill, competitive knowledge, and credibility. Focus on delivering product and technical presentations and providing a feedback loop from customers to product and engineering.
Location: Remote within the United States, ideally located on the West Coast (California, Washington, Oregon).
Salary: $177,000 - $211,000 OTE (yearly)

What you will do
- Partner with the Sales team to articulate the overall Grafana value proposition, vision, and strategy.
- Own the technical engagement with customers and help to close high-velocity opportunities.
- Deliver product and technical presentations to potential and existing customers.
- Proactively communicate with customers and internal teams to provide a feedback loop on products and the competitive landscape.
- Drive product conversations based on customer needs and problems.
- Work with the team to enhance documentation, write blog posts, and create other enablement material.
Requirements
- 1-3+ years of technical pre-sales experience, ideally with Open Source technologies or in the Metrics/Monitoring space.
- Ability to work and collaborate with an international remote-first team.
- First-class written and oral communication skills to articulate value proposition and technical advantages.
- Strong technical mindset and a desire to grow technically.
- Self-motivated, initiative, and creative approach to solving technical challenges.
