Software Development Engineer III (Fullstack - Wallet)

What you will do

• Own end-to-end feature delivery for Wallet, Billing, and Taxes, from API design and backend implementation to necessary Vue.js frontend changes.
• Build and maintain stable, performant, scalable backend services with Node.js, MongoDB, and distributed systems patterns.
• Resolve systemic reliability issues such as crashes, timeouts, race conditions, and memory leaks.
• Improve performance and cost efficiency through query tuning, caching, indexing, and cloud-spend optimization.
• Strengthen security, observability, test coverage, technical quality, and deployment automation.
• Collaborate with QA and engineers, participate in on-call rotation, and resolve production incidents.

Requirements

• 4–7 years of backend engineering experience with exposure to high-throughput, large-scale, or multi-tenant systems.
• Expert-level Node.js and deep MongoDB experience, including complex schemas, aggregation pipelines, indexing, and sharding.
• Production experience with Redis for caching, rate limiting, pub/sub, and distributed locks.
• Experience running microservices on Kubernetes and using a major cloud provider such as GCP, AWS, or Azure.
• Ability to contribute to frontend development with Vue.js, React, Angular, or another modern UI framework.
• Experience supporting mission-critical systems under heavy load and designing modular, reusable code.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI tools and contributions to open-source projects, internal platforms, or engineering blogs.
• NestJS or Express.js experience.
• Elasticsearch experience for search and filtering.
• Exposure to OLAP systems such as ClickHouse, Snowflake, or BigQuery.
