What you will do

• Take ownership of complex features end-to-end from design to deployment and monitoring.
• Design and evolve scalable Node.js services and React applications with a focus on performance and reliability.
• Build secure authentication and authorization flows ensuring data protection and compliance.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and platform scalability in a microservices environment.
• Use AI-assisted tools responsibly to improve productivity and explore AI product enhancements.
• Mentor team members and promote a strong engineering culture through code reviews and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

• Must have 5+ years of professional experience building and operating production systems.
• Strong architectural thinking and experience with microservices, API design, and distributed systems.
• Proficiency with Node.js, React, MongoDB, and cloud environments (preferably GCP).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and automated deployments.
• Strong ownership, accountability, and ability to deliver high-quality, secure, maintainable code.
• Location: Must be based in Europe or able to work hybrid from Brussels with flexible remote options.

Nice to have

• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Background in other backend ecosystems such as Java, C#, Go, or Python.
