System Business Analyst (Investment Management)

Location: Hybrid with minimum 3 days per week onsite in Newark, NJ

Salary: $150,000–$170,000 per year

What you will do

• Analyze and define business and functional requirements for fixed-income data products
• Communicate requirements and conduct walkthroughs with development, QA, and stakeholders
• Own product features ensuring clear acceptance criteria and support UAT
• Perform data analysis using strong SQL skills and read Python code to understand business logic
• Assist product owner with backlog refinement and sprint planning
• Proactively identify and raise obstacles impacting sprint delivery

Requirements

• 5+ years of business system analysis experience in buy-side fixed income or investment management
• Strong SQL skills and ability to read Python code
• Experience with Agile and Waterfall SDLC methodologies
• Working knowledge of fixed income instruments and data governance
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and relationship management skills
• Hybrid work format with onsite presence in Newark, NJ required

Nice to have

• Experience with Seismic, Vermillion, Arria Software
• Experience with ALM tools like Jira and Confluence
• Ability to create and maintain user stories, tasks, and epics in Jira
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science or related field
