Product Manager (Developer Tools)

Product Manager, Developer Tools: Improving efficiency and happiness of hirify.global’s internal engineering teams, building tools and processes that make developers' lives better with an accent on long-term strategy, roadmap, and delivery of internal developer tools and platforms. Focus on enabling engineers with AI tooling, code generation, automated code review, intelligent debugging, and workflow automation.

Location: Hybrid in Atlanta, Austin, Denver, Toronto, Washington DC, Lisbon, or London.

Salary: $156,000-$215,000 (Colorado, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota); $172,000-$237,000 (New York City, Washington, Washington D.C., California excluding Bay Area)

What you will do

• Own the DevTools roadmap by defining priorities, making tradeoffs, and maintaining a clear view of what we’re building and why.
• Conduct regular research with internal developers to identify pain points, validate solutions, and measure adoption.
• Establish measurable outcomes for developer productivity initiatives.
• Author clear product documentation that frames the problem, success criteria, and constraints.
• Collaborate on quarterly planning, staffing allocation, and cross-team dependencies with engineering leadership.
• Keep stakeholders informed on progress, decisions, and upcoming changes.

Requirements

• Problem-first thinking and outcomes orientation.
• Effective cross-functional partnership with engineering, design, and other product teams.
• Data-informed decision making skills.
• Technical credibility to hold your own in conversations with engineers about architecture, tradeoffs, and implementation approaches.
• AI fluency and clear communication skills.
• This position may require access to information protected under U.S. export control laws.

Nice to have

• An engineering background or experience building software yourself.
• Experience with developer productivity tools, build systems, or CI/CD pipelines.
• Comfort with ambiguity in internal platform work.
• Experience thoughtfully applying Generative AI to improve developer workflows.
• Familiarity with how the Internet works (layers 2–7).
