What you will do

• Drive the strategy for developer tooling across the platform, making opinionated bets on testing, debugging, and deployment.
• Own the end-to-end testing story, defining canonical patterns and the strategic direction for test infrastructure.
• Develop the deploy safety approach, including pre-deploy compatibility checking and determinism detection.
• Unify the CLI into a coherent tool designed for both human developers and AI agents.
• Optimize the getting-started experience to help new developers reach a working project in minutes.
• Partner with engineering leadership to shape technical direction and company-level planning.

Requirements

• 8+ years of product management experience, with significant focus on developer tools, SDKs, CLIs, or infrastructure.
• Proven track record of defining and driving a tooling strategy and making build-vs-buy decisions.
• Ability to maintain a coherent vision across multiple tools and language ecosystems (Go, Java, TypeScript, Python, .NET).
• Comfort operating in high-ambiguity environments and making quick, evidence-based decisions.
• Experience partnering with engineering leadership to influence technical direction.
• Must be based in the United States

Nice to have

• Personal contributions to a CLI, testing framework, CI pipeline, or developer tool.
• Experience with distributed systems, workflow engines, or durable execution concepts.
• Work on cross-language or cross-platform developer tools.
• Familiarity with the competitive landscape (Restate, Inngest, Durable Objects, Step Functions).
