What you will do

• Define infrastructure platform abstractions for compute, storage, orchestration, and networking to ensure scalability and reliability.
• Own system performance and scale, setting benchmarks for latency, availability, and fault tolerance for real-time workloads.
• Design developer primitives and tooling, including internal and external APIs and SDKs.
• Drive system architecture decisions, managing tradeoffs between consistency, cost, performance, and complexity.
• Ensure infrastructure accelerates product velocity and enables teams to ship quickly without sacrificing reliability.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and GTM teams to align infrastructure with customer use cases.

Requirements

• Deep technical product experience building infrastructure, platforms, or developer tooling.
• Strong systems intuition regarding distributed systems, scalability, and reliability.
• Proven track record of leading products from 0→1 and through scaling phases.
• Excellent communication skills for articulating technical tradeoffs to diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments with high ambiguity.
• Must be based in or able to work on-site in San Francisco, CA.

Nice to have

• Experience with compute, storage, networking, or orchestration layers.
• Background in building developer platforms, APIs, or SDKs.
• Familiarity with modern AI/ML infrastructure or real-time systems.
• Coding experience in languages such as TypeScript, Go, or Python.
