Developer Experience Engineer (JavaScript)

Location: Hybrid role based at hirify.global's main headquarters in San Francisco, United States

Base salary: $200,000–$240,000 USD per year, plus potential incentive compensation, equity grants, paid time off, and group health insurance.

What you will do

• Build technical content, tutorials, and product narratives that help developers use hirify.global.
• Test new product features and modern JavaScript frameworks through hands-on projects.
• Gather insights from developers, technical communities, and customers, then influence product direction.
• Attend and host developer events, meetups, and virtual community gatherings.
• Partner with Engineering, Product, Design, Sales Engineering, Business Operations, Communications, and Product Marketing.
• Prioritize customer needs and business opportunities while executing content and community initiatives.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a developer and 3+ years in developer advocacy, developer relations, evangelism, technical education, or developer community leadership.
• At least three examples of technical educational content for professional developers, such as tutorials, video series, blog series, or courses.
• Experience running a developer-focused blog, forum, or website and measuring audience growth and promotional effectiveness.
• At least one project using a modern development language or framework.
• Active participation and contribution in technical communities such as Discord, Stack Overflow, Reddit, Twitter, or TikTok.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to balance customer needs and business priorities.
