Manager, Documentation Systems (Robotics)

Salary: $116,479–$145,000 annually

What you will do

• Manage and mentor a cross-functional team of Technical Writers and Platform Developers.
• Own the roadmap for the documentation CMS and ensure that it remains robust, user-friendly, and integrated with the broader product ecosystem.
• Maintain and enhance documentation infrastructure, including high availability and a modern Docs-as-Code workflow.
• Establish style guides, taxonomies, and quality standards for complex robotics documentation.
• Partner with engineering and product teams to align documentation platform capabilities with product release cycles.
• Define and track KPIs for documentation health and platform engagement.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in technical documentation, content engineering, or platform management.
• At least 2 years of leadership or people-management experience.
• Familiarity with Markdown, Git, CMS platforms, and web development fundamentals.
• Ability to align technical platform capabilities with business goals and translate technical requirements into actionable project plans.
• Experience in robotics, hardware, or high-tech software environments is advantageous.

Nice to have

• Experience with Docusaurus, Markdown-to-HTML workflows, DITA XML, HTML5, and CSS.
• Experience managing documentation lifecycles with Git or other change-management systems.
• Experience leading cross-functional Agile teams and managing Jira backlogs and sprint cycles.
• Experience supporting localization and translation workflows.
• Experience integrating documentation platforms with CRM systems such as Salesforce.
