What you will do

• Lead and guide engineering teams delivering digital products and cross-cutting initiatives.
• Provide technical direction and oversight for large-scale projects.
• Establish and apply engineering principles and best practices to maintain consistency and quality.
• Contribute engineering insight to strategy and architecture discussions.
• Mentor and coach junior team members to improve team capability.
• Encourage creative problem-solving and continuous learning when addressing complex technical challenges.

Requirements

• Commercial experience as a Lead Engineer in a development team.
• Expert knowledge of Java, TypeScript, and Angular, with broader experience across tools and frameworks.
• Knowledge of AWS cloud technologies and experience with agile methodologies.
• Ability to consider wider business concerns and stakeholder challenges when making technical decisions.
• Experience implementing architecture, DevOps, performance, or security practices.
• Understanding and ownership of engineering best practices such as TDD, SOLID, and XP.
