Principal Software Engineer (Kotlin)

What you will do

• Design and build highly scalable backend services for a marketing platform.
• Own the design of APIs, applications, and supporting infrastructure.
• Deliver solutions end to end, including automation, deployment, operation, and support.
• Document technical designs and requirements for internal teams and clients.
• Translate business requirements into robust technical solutions with clients and delivery teams.
• Collaborate in an Agile delivery model with engineering, data science, and client stakeholders.

Requirements

• Strong JVM development experience, with Kotlin preferred and Java accepted.
• Experience designing data-driven APIs and large-scale web services.
• Solid SQL skills, including schema design and performance-aware queries.
• Deep experience with automated unit and integration testing; TDD or BDD preferred.
• Frontend experience with React, TypeScript, Redux, and Tailwind or similar frameworks.
• Experience with cloud platforms, infrastructure as code, and containerized deployments.

Nice to have

• Scala or functional programming experience.
• Experience with asynchronous and highly concurrent backend frameworks.
• NoSQL experience with technologies such as DynamoDB, Cassandra, Bigtable, or Cosmos DB.
• Strong Git workflow experience and an appetite for learning new technologies.
