Senior User Experience Designer (Mobile)

TL;DR

Senior User Experience Designer (Mobile): Designing intuitive, mobile-first experiences for native platforms with an accent on leveraging unique mobile capabilities and delivering seamless, responsive interactions. Focus on defining design strategy, informing product strategy, and promoting data-driven design decisions in the financial services industry.

Location: Hybrid, requiring onsite work every other week (M-F) in a Fidelity office, primarily in Durham, NC, USA. Fidelity is not providing immigration sponsorship for this position.

What you will do

• Lead the design strategy and execution on your product team.
• Define design work and contribute to achieving business outcomes.
• Consult with product owners to help inform product strategy.
• Develop and refine interaction patterns, navigation flows, and micro-interactions for mobile.
• Apply best practices for iOS and Android design guidelines and responsive layouts.
• Partner with user research to understand customer problems and drive data-driven design decisions.

Requirements

• 4+ years of UX or related experience.
• A digital portfolio reviewable online is required.
• Expert knowledge of iOS and Material design guidelines and interactions.
• Familiarity with the value of design systems, understanding reuse and scale.
• Effective communication as a writer, presenter, and facilitator.
• A foundation of development knowledge (web and mobile).

Nice to have

• A degree in a related field such as interactive design, architecture, industrial design, graphic design, or human factors.
• Experience working on agile teams delivering value in digital products.
• Experience running and/or using research to support evidence-focused design decisions.
